At The Rivera Law Firm, we do not believe that legal representation should be overly burdensome. Every Client deserves a high level of service at a price they can afford. Therefore, our firm has created several financial options to make the process easier for the Client. The various financial options are known as a Flat Fee system.
Uncontested Divorce
Marriage does not anticipate a budget or plan for a divorce. Therefore, the most economical way to divorce is for the spouses to agree to terms. Spouses who have reached an agreement concerning division of property, debt(s), and/or a parenting plan for their child(ren), The Rivera Law Firm offers the following options to help facilitate the divorce process.
* UNCONTESTED DIVORCE OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY IF THE SPOUSES AGREE ON EVERY SINGLE TERM OF THE DIVORCE *
Drafting Only Options: For these options, The Rivera Law Firm will draft the necessary documents ONLY. The Rivera Law Firm will provide all the necessary information in order for the Client to file the documents and perform the final Prove Up Hearing yourself. Therefore, The Rivera Law Firm will draft the documents and the Client will represent themselves.
Option I: Drafting Only with NO Children – $1,250.00 (DOES NOT INCLUDE FILING FEES)
– Consultation in order to gather all the necessary information to draft your documents
– Drafting the Original Petition of Divorce
– Drafting the Waiver of Citation for the spouse to execute
– Drafting the Final Decree of Divorce
– A Detailed list of instructions explaining the divorce process and how the Client will file the paperwork and finalize the Divorce
Option II: Drafting Only with Children – $1,550.00 (DOES NOT INCLUDE FILING FEES)
– Consultation in order to gather all the necessary information to draft your documents
– Drafting the Original Petition of Divorce
– Drafting the Waiver of Citation for the spouse to execute
– Drafting the Agreed Parenting Plan
– Drafting the Final Decree of Divorce
– Drafting Employer’s Withholding Order
– A Detailed list of instructions explaining the divorce process and how the Client will file the paperwork and finalize the Divorce
* FILING FEES AND COURT COSTS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE ABOVE OPTIONS *
Attorney Representation Options: For these options, The Rivera Law Firm will draft the necessary documents and represent you in a court of law. The Client will have access to an attorney for legal support and legal advice during the time of the Client’s divorce proceedings.
Option I: Attorney Representation with NO Children – $1,950.00 (DOES NOT INCLUDE FILING FEES)
– Consultation in order to gather all the necessary information to draft your documents
– Drafting the Original Petition of Divorce
– Drafting the Waiver of Citation for the spouse to execute
– Drafting the Final Decree of Divorce
– Before filing, consultation with attorney to discuss Original Petition of Divorce and Final Decree of Divorce
– Legal support and legal advice while Client’s divorce case is pending
– Attorney representation for the Client’s Prove Up Hearing
– Copy of Final Decree of Divorce including copies of all divorce documents
Option II: Attorney Representation with Children – $2,250.00 (DOES NOT INCLUDE FILING FEES)
– Consultation in order to gather all the necessary information to draft your documents
– Drafting the Original Petition of Divorce
– Drafting the Waiver of Citation for the spouse to execute
– Drafting the Agreed Parenting Plan
– Drafting the Final Decree of Divorce
– Drafting the Employer’s Withholding Order
– Before filing, consultation with attorney to discuss Original Petition of Divorce and Final Decree of Divorce
– Legal support and legal advice while Client’s divorce case is pending
– Attorney representation for the Client’s Prove Up Hearing
– Copy of Final Decree of Divorce including copies of all divorce documents

Legal Guidance in Order to Utilize an Uncontested Divorce Option – $235 per hour
– Spouses who have not reached an agreement in terms of division of property, debt(s), and/or a parenting plan for their child(ren), The Rivera Law Firm is available to provide legal guidance in order to reach an agreement where an Uncontested Divorce Option may now become available.
Contested Divorce
No case is the same. In order to determine the fee, there are various factors considered such as:
- Factual complexity
- Children
- Division of Property
- Debt
- Expert(s) needed
- Criminal history
- Pending hearings/deadlines

Estate Planning
FEE:
- Single Person – $750.00
- Married Couple – $950.00
The Rivera Law Firm provides an estate planning package that includes:
(1) a Last Will and Testament for Non-Taxable Estates;
(2) a Statutory Durable Power of Attorney;
(3) a Medical Power of Attorney;
(4) an Advance Directive to Physicians/Living Will;
(5) an Out-of-Hospital Do-Not-Resuscitate Order (“DNR”);
(6) a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”) Authorization Form; and
(7) a Designation of Guardian form.
